Role and responsibilities in the project
The cooperation of the Centre for Education Governance and School Quality will focus in this project on the following aspects:
- A systematic literature research in the field of "organizational culture"
- Collaboration in the development of a theoretical concept to 'quality culture'
- Participation in the development of the diagnostic instrument for identification of quality culture
- Participation in the development of suggestions for generating a quality culture which enhances successful implementation of quality systems.
About the Center of Educational Organization and School Quality FHNW
The Center of School Quality and Educational Organization is one of 5 research and development centres at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Northwestern Switzerland. It is located at the Institute of Research and Development.
The section of the Centre focused on school quality deals with issues surrounding the evaluation and management of the quality of educational institutions. Its core task is to develop and implement external evaluations for the Volksschule schools of the Cantons Aargau and Solothurn. It also runs evaluation projects that examine the quality of educational institutions and individual curricula.
Part of its responsibility lies in the development of school evaluation processes and tools.
In association with the Institute for Continuing Education and Counselling, this section also offers training and advice to individuals who play a leading role in in-school quality management. Q2E serves as the guiding model.
